Hey, folks,
This is the first post on my "new" blog, which is essentially going to be a continuation of the original blog, which can be accessed by others but not by me! (Don't ask-I've tried everything I can think of) The old blog is vennie'svenue.blogspot.com and I think it is still accessed using the apostrophe, although this new one is not. Confusing, I know. Complain to Blogspot--if you can figure out how to do that.
Anyway, I haven't blogged for nearly 2 years. Got frustrated with Blogspot and just stopped. I wasn't able to download and move photos last time I blogged and it made me angry. I got over it.
So, here we are in 2011, and much has happened in 2 years. Biggest deal is Mom's stroke, which left her unable to reside in her assisted living apartment. She is in a nursing home, not in too bad a shape, all things considered, and at least she is coherent enough to be able to carry on a sensible conversation, although her memory and hearing are poor, which makes for some interesting chats. I am chief accountant (not my forte), visitor, provider of bananas, etc. Enough of that.
I'm not going to try to upload any photos to this post. It will be enough if I can get it on all by itself!
